The Italian Renaissance movement gave rise to probably the greatest works of architecture ever undertaken in the world. The Duomo at the Santa Maria del Fiore or the Florence Cathedral, St. Peter’s Basilica and the doors to the Baptistry of St John which were termed as the Gates of Paradise by Michelangelo Buonarroti himself. Even if you are unaware of any artistic knowledge, you’ll come out of Italy feeling like a scholar of arts.
